Post-Application Exhibition event for local community

A community event exhibiting the outline planning application for the Rugeley Power Station site is to be held at Mansefield House, 40 Market Street, Rugeley WS15 2JL on Thursday 4th July from 3pm to 7:30pm. This drop-in event follows the submission of an outline planning application by Rugeley Power Station owner ENGIE to both Lichfield District Council and Cannock Chase District Council. The event is being hosted by ENGIE and architect partner JTP.

The event is open to all members of the community and will provide an opportunity to find out more about the planning application, which was compiled following feedback from an extensive community consultation period between November 2018 and April 2019. More information on Rugeley Power Station site plans are available at jtp.co.uk/projects/rugeley

In November 2018, ENGIE announced that it will retain ownership and a long-term interest in the 139hectare brownfield Rugeley Power Station site. ENGIE plans to combine its unique combination of capabilities in energy, services and regeneration to lead the transformation of the former 1GW coal fired power station site into an entirely new sustainable and smart community.
