As part of preparations for the final major demolition activity at Rugeley Power Station with the controlled explosions of the four Cooling Towers, a road closure application is being submitted to the relevant authorities to propose that this will take place on Sunday 6th June 2021. Sections of the A51 near to Rugeley Power Station will be affected and a traffic management plan will be implemented to minimise local disruption. Further details will be provided once the final date has been confirmed and approved in the coming weeks.
