The Finance Department at Rugeley Power Station is responsible for the following activities:

The department consists of five staff who manage the day to day finance requirements of the station and provide support to many customers both internal and external to the company.

The department is staffed in such a way that flexibility is optimised, and that routine tasks continue to be completed during staff absence. A great deal of importance is placed upon the "team" concept to ensure business continuity whilst providing opportunities for staff to develop their skills over a wide variety of tasks.

Continuing professional development is encouraged and currently three members of the department are studying for professional qualifications. Opportunities arise from time to time for secondment to other power stations and to other parts of the business and staff are encouraged to participate in order to widen their experience.
