The environmental section monitors the site operations to ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ensures that we meet the requirements of our IPC (Environmental Pollution Control) Authorisation issued by the Environmental Agency.

Chemistry plays a large part in this section. It is responsible for:

· Feed water chemistry
· Boiler water chemistry
· Quality of various oils
· Cooling water monitoring
· Effluent monitoring
· Air quality
· Fuel Quality

Also included in this section is waste management.

All waste produced is segregated and the disposal route is recycling, special waste and general waste. Specialist contractors undertake waste removal.
