Rugeley Power Station is committed to the generation of low cost electricity in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. As with all coal fired power stations, the site covers a large area and has a variety of buildings housing all the necessary plant and equipment used in the production process.
We regard safety as paramount and, as safety is a part our business culture, we encourage everyone to play their part in making sure that Rugeley remains a safe place to work.
Rugeley
produces approximately 1,000 megawatts of electricity, which is fed into
the National Grid system AT A HIGH VOLTAGE OF 400,000 VOLTS. The power
output is enough to meet the needs of approximately ½ million homes.
